Dear Papas San,

Welcome Home, the depth of the word can be felt far away across the Pacific Ocean to the South China Sea.

I have come home to Vietnam after all, 30 years since the fall of Saigon, Tet 2006. With the MIA bracelet on my wrist, I was with you coming home on this side. And there was a sense of being complete. Please allow me to share...

OPERATION HOMECOMING CUSTOM BUILT MOTORCYCLE TO BE AUTOGRAPHED BY NASHVILLE STARS

Branson’s June Vietnam Era Veterans Homecoming Building Momentum.

(Nashville, TN) – Operation Homecoming Branson is proud to announce the signing of a new corporate sponsor for “Welcome Home 2006”, the national Vietnam era veterans’ homecoming being held in Branson, Missouri June 11-18. KC Creations, a custom motorcycle builder in Kansas City, Missouri, is the latest U.S. corporation to support the belated tribute to America’s Vietnam veterans. The company’s generous donation of a beautiful custom built 2006 Big Inch “2-Lo Magnum” motorcycle, complete with the “Welcome Home 2006” branding on the gas tank and rear fender, has prompted a unique fund raising campaign. The fuel tank from this one-of-a-kind motorcycle will be at the Grand Ole Opry this weekend where it will be autographed by many of the entertainers performing there. This will be repeated in several other venues before the fuel tank is once again reattached to bike, and then offered at auction on e-bay in early spring.

Nashville music stars appearing at the Grand Ole Opry this weekend include Porter Wagoner, Connie Smith, Ricky Skaggs, Bill Anderson, John Conlee, Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, Hal Ketchum.

Welcome Home 2006 is an 8-day homecoming celebration to honor of the men and women who served in America’s military during the Vietnam War. The event will conclude with the 2-day Heartland Benefit Concert, 19 hours of great entertainment designed to raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Project and Operation Troop Aid.

The goal of the event organizers is to provide the homecoming that these courageous veterans failed to receive upon their return from duty more than 30 years ago, thereby promoting healing and closure.

Registration assistance or information about the event is available at www.welcomehome2006.org, or by calling 1-800-335-4587.
