There is only one religion, though there are
a hundred versions of it.
--George Bernard Shaw

The Ten Commandments
     (To all young students of America)

Had all the Godly churches in town, together,
Reached out and touched your hearts
In the name of love for God and Country
For our great America;
Not for one's own church or religious faith,
Then the shots would have been silenced.

Had the churches opened their gifts
Unwrapped the content, made it conspicuous,
Put it in front of the churches in town
Everywhere the children come and go;
They can embrace the radiant monument
Inscribed the God-given "Ten Commandments,"
The shots would have never been heard
Around the world, from Colorado,
A town called Littleton...

There is always a tomorrow
Let America's spirit courageously show.
