The Rancho Custodian
The patients were asleep
The nurses were giving reports
An old man dutifully working the floor
The mop, wet, drawing shining lines through the hallway
The fresh, clean air smelled in the night
"The sun is coming out soon," he said.
Life shall return to this Rehab Center,
Clean and shiny...
